With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Antonio D. Lopez, 24, of Cambridge, who passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at his home. His passing leaves a deep and lasting void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Antonio was born on October 30, 2001, in Porterville, to Antonio Jose Lopez and Betsy Michener. From an early age, he carried a spirit of determination, kindness, and dedication—qualities that would define his life and the way he connected with others.

He proudly served as a mechanic for the Ohio National Guard, where his commitment went beyond duty. Antonio regularly volunteered for additional deployments, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and service. His willingness to give his time and effort for something greater than himself spoke to his character and the pride he took in his work.

Outside of his service, Antonio found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He enjoyed gaming and camping, embracing both adventure and relaxation. He was also active in athletics, participating in cross country and swim team, showing both discipline and teamwork. His faith as a Catholic was another guiding force in his life, shaping his values and the way he treated those around him.

Antonio was preceded in death by his uncle, Terry Lee Pyers. He is survived by his loving parents, his brothers, his grandparents, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory. He also leaves behind his nephew, Cruz Lopez, and many others whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn Black Funeral Home, with a service to follow. Burial will take place at Northwood Cemetery.

Antonio’s life, though far too short, was filled with purpose, love, and connection. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew him.

Rest in peace, Antonio. Your service, your spirit, and your memory will never be forgotten.
